Pride EAVP group

Objectives

Pride EAVP is a platform for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies of the European Association of Vertebrate Palaeontology. We provide a safe space, support, and mentor members of our community. In addition, we encourage our members to share their stories, experiences, and research, as well as protect them from any discriminatory behaviour, which might take place within the association and/or the broader scientific community.

Our logo and mascot, Andrea, is an artistic life reconstruction of Andrias scheuchzeri, the extinct giant salamander, the fossil of which is represented on the original logo of the EAVP.

We organize roundtables and workshops during the annual meetings of the EAVP, while also being active on Twitter all year long!
