About the EAVP
The European Association of Vertebrate Palaeontologists (EAVP) is a society founded in 2003 in Karlsruhe for the advancement of vertebrate palaeontology in Europe. The society has its own journal, PalaeoVertebrata, and organizes an annual meeting in a different European country each year, usually with relatively low costs to make it accessible to early career scientists. It also provides small grants to conduct research projects and attend the annual meeting.
The society is open and inclusive to everyone, irrespective of background, gender, ethnicity or nationality. From the society’s founding, Europe has been conceived in its broadest sense, and includes but is certainly not limited to the European Union. Although the society has a European focus, this is intended to support and bring together scientists from across this linguistically and culturally diverse continent, not to exclude those from other areas of the world. All are welcome!
